Free webinar providing insights into Creative Arts Therapy as part of the 22nd designedge Innovation Festival

I was recently invited to present a webinar as part of the 22nd designedge Innovation Festival, a Belmont Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) initiative that brings together presenters from diverse professions to share knowledge, ideas and innovation.

LINK : please note this webinar is free to watch, but you do need to register as it is part of the Belmont BEC DesignEdge Festival:

My presentation "Pathway to Personal Insight, Healing and Transformation: Opening New Possibilities Through Creative Process, Imagination and Embodied Experience, aims to share insights into what Creative Arts Therapy is, how it differs from an art class, and how the creative process can become a meaningful way to explore thoughts, feelings and experiences that can sometimes be difficult to express through words alone.

Drawing on contemporary research, neuroscience and literature, I also explore the growing evidence informing creative arts therapy practice, introduce a number of key therapeutic concepts, and who might benefit from from it.

Along the way, I share a little of my own journey into the profession, the research that shaped my practice, and invite you to experience two gentle creative activities that illustrate some of the ideas we discuss.

Whether you're curious about Creative Arts Therapy for yourself or someone you know – or just interested in learning more about the profession, I hope this webinar offers an informative introduction.

Webinar presentation is by Aneta Wnek from Art of Therapy – creative arts psychotherapy for adults in Perth, Western Australia.
